2025 Election By-Law Ballot Motion

February 21, 2025

At the February 20, 2025 Board of Directors meeting, the Directors passed, with a unanimous vote, the inclusion of the two ballot motions in relation to updating the Association’s By-laws.  The Board stressed to the membership that it is imperative that the Association’s governing document becomes compliant with the Wyoming Non Profit Corporation Act.  The last update to our By-laws was 24 years ago and we are all feeling the effects of this archaic document.  Let’s instill positive change, compliance and conformity in 2025!

It’s the year 2001; we made it through Y2K by storing up can goods in fear of complete computer and banking failures, George W. Bush was our 43rd president and the country mourned in solidarity for the lives lost on September 11th. A lot has happened over the course of 24 years bringing us to our best year yet, 2025!

Star Valley Ranch Association was incorporated in 1970 and has undergone dramatic growth not only in its ever diversifying community, but within the infrastructure as well. With the passage of time comes the need to review, update and amend our governing documents so that we as a whole remain relevant and in compliance with current state laws. As such, the Board of Directors sought legal counsel, as they felt it imperative to align ourselves properly with the Wyoming Non Profit Corporation Act.

Presented for your review and as part of this year’s annual election voting ballot, we invite you to peruse the following documents below highlighting our current 2001 version of the By-Laws, legal interpretation with counsel’s suggestions, along with the proposed alterations to bring forth a contemporary Draft.

Please aid your community with a Yes vote this June 28, 2025 at the annual election! Complete voting packets will be mailed the week of May 12th.
